The incident took place in East Patchogue around 9:30 p.m., Sunday, April 10.
Suffolk County Police Fifth Squad detectives are investigating after the driver told officers he was threatened by a passenger with a knife who then cut him, police said.
The driver was able to drive himself to Long Island Community Hospital for treatment of minor injuries.
Hours later around 3:20 a.m., Monday, April 11, in Brookhaven another ride-share driver was attacked when a passenger held a stun gun to the driver’s neck and demanded the driver exit the vehicle, said the Suffolk County Police.
The driver refused and the suspect fled the scene on foot, police said.
Both incidents are under investigation. The police did not say if the incidents are connected.
